Comments: I have currently have 3 complete sets of Buffalo Nickels and about 900 coins. I recently found a 1914-D Buffalo Nickel while surfing through an old tin can and to my surprise it was in Fine condition with 3 quarters of a Horn.I figured the value to be about $200 and I only payed 70 cents for it!!! Keep up the good work on this site!

Comments: Hello, I am restoring a home built in 1937. While weeding a flower bed I found a 1915 Buffalo nickel. The condition is extremely dirty, but the date is very clear. I can only speculate, but it appears the coin was lost soon after it was minted as the coin does not appear to be one that was circulated for 22 yrs before it was lost. Thank you for all the valuable information.

Comments: Love buffalo nickels. I collect a bunch of different coins but buffalos are my love. I put a complete set together and then started getting them slabbed. It was then that I found out that alot of coins that I bought were not in as good of condition that I thought that I was buying. I'm now replacing (gradually) alot of the coins that I bought before only this time only certified coins to try to protect myself. Like everyone else it gets tough (and expensive) when you get to the key dates and mints. It's a really beautiful coin though. It just has a timeless attraction for me. I found your site and found it very nice. I just learned today that in addition to the 37 D three leg there is a 36 D 3 1/2 leg. This I did not know. So for the past hour I have been digging through this bag of what I thought were just commons buffs looking for a 36 D 3 1/2 leg.
